What is Certificate of Merit

Certificate of Merit (CM) is an educational music program designed to challenge
and encourage students as they are studying their chosen instrument. The
program is open to any students studying with a teacher who is a member of
MTAC. Certificate of Merit is sponsored and run by MTAC and now annually
tests approximately 30,000 students statewide.

Enrollment open October 1-31, 2019

Deadline to submit payment: November 5th, 2019

Evaluation dates:

  • Piano Evaluations - February 29th and March 1st, 2020
  • Voice Evaluations - February 22, 2020
  • Flute Evaluations - February 23, 2020
  • String Evaluations - February 15, 16, 23, 2020
  • Harp Evaluations - February 29, 2020
All Theory Evaluations February 29, 2020 and March 1, 2020 at the Hilton Concord, 1970 Diamond Blvd., Concord, CA
